Giving Thanks

We had such a great Thanksgiving. We had Thanksgiving at my moms house this year- and although Dustin and Mike both had to work that evening it was fun to be able to have everyone there! We started a new tradition this year-we had all of the little kids draw a Thanksgiving picture and tell us what they are thankful for, and we are going to put the pages in a little book for them. Although they are still all to young to really know what being thankful really means- it will be fun after a few years of doing this to see how their little minds evolve.

It is wonderful to be able to reflect back on our lives and to have so much to be thankful for. I am so grateful for the growing family that i have been blessed to be a part of. I am grateful for two of the most precious and healthy little boys that call me mom. I am grateful for an extremely hardworking and wonderful husband that calls me his wife. I am grateful to be able to work just enough to help our family out, but still be able to raise our boys. I am grateful for our house that keeps us protected. I am grateful that my family has never felt the pains of hunger. I am grateful to live in a country where i am free, and where there are people that are making sacrifices to ensure that it stays that way. I am grateful for all the friends that i have met in my life that without knowing have been examples to me and made me strive to be a better person. And I am extremely grateful for being constantly watched over by my Father in Heaven when we live in a world that is so full of evil. It is so easy to take for granted all the blessings we enjoy everyday so what a better day to reflect back on just how important these blessings are then a day dedicated to giving Thanks!

I think I want to start that same tradition with Lydia. What a good idea!
