In the month of August ... ya ya i'm tryin to get caught up... Me & my sister took our kids up to this is the place park. I have never been there, and had heard from my sister how fun it was. Even better on Wednesdays throughout the entire month of August admission was only $2!! Score!! I never realized how big that place is, or how many activities they have for kids. We only went through about half of the park, because we got up their a little late, but this is one place I would like to go back when we have all day to just walk around. We got there and ate lunch that we had brought, at the little picnic area they have as you enter the park. After eating we rode the train, which my boys thought was pretty cool!! Then we walked around some of the cabins, where they have people dressed up from olden time period, that teach ya about the owners of the cabin, and have different little activities for the kids to do at each cabin. I think the kids favorite was the cabin that had the yard tools. you can see by the pictures they really got into "workin the land"
Jaedyn, Tavin, Dax & Carson on the train
The kids writing on chalk boards in the school house
Tavin wrote his name with the chalk
Tav & Dax Playing a pioneer racing game
Here are the kids "working" on the fields with all the old fashioned yard tools
