Our baby girl that we have been SO anxiously waiting for arrived Saturday July 2, 2011 at 5:30 p.m. She was 9lbs and 4 oz and 21 inches long!!! Considering the dramatic pregnancy that we went through, the delivery was quite uneventful..Thank goodness...
I was originally scheduled to be induced Sunday July 3rd, but at my Appointment on Friday my Dr. Decided to switch it, so Friday night turned into a Crazy Evening trying to get everything done that i thought i had an extra day to do. We dropped the boys off to my moms around 10:00 that night and headed home to pack for the hospital. We had to be at the hospital at 6:30 in the morning, and when we got there they led us into a room for me to get changed. apparently they got slammed with laboring women, because i was the only scheduled induction- and i didn't get "my" nurse for quite a few hours, because they had to call her in to work. I got the pitocin at 8:30 am- then my Dr. broke my water at 10:30. I got my epidural around 12:30, which worked for about 2 hours. Me and Mike had tried to take naps, but i was awaken around 2:30 feeling strong contractions. We ended up having the anestheiologist come in 2 times to give me stronger meds, because I was still feeling EVERYTHING..
This is where i stop and tell all the women that go natural what amazingly strong women they are, because I now know that I would never be able to do it!!
Around 4:30 i was at the point i couldn't do it anymore, i was crying because of the amount of pain i was in.. I couldn't even focus long enough to just breathe..
My nurse had checked me when the pain first became unbearable and i was only at 6 cm, so she kept telling me that i shouldn't be in that much pain. By the time the anestheiologist came in for the third time- around 5, I had gone from that 6 to a 9+, and was ready to go... My nurses responded by saying, "that explains it!" The only option for the pain was to redo the epidural- so with only a few minutes to kick in, i got my second epidural and quickly welcomed a beautiful, and very Big baby girl to the world.. My first glimpse of her was total deja Vu of what Daxton Looked like at birth, with the exception that she had a head of dark hair- where both my boys were blonde and basically bald..
My doctor showed me the placenta, and where all the different pieces were- that were causing all the concerns.. My nurse teaches nursing at the school, and asked if she could take pictures of it to use in her teaching.. When my mom got to the hospital- seconds after i delivered her, she said she saw my Dr. and the nurse had it all layed out, taking pictures and showing the other nurses.

I still can't believe how well everything went for all the anxiety, worry, and pain that i have been in over the last six months, and for that i am Extremely Grateful... I absolutely LOVE having a girl, and I can Honestly say that even after everything that i went through with this pregnancy, that i would do it again in a heartbeat..she is 110% worth it!!!!-
